Shilpi Roy Chowdhury specializes in gender, personal laws, and public international law. In 2016, she founded the Gender Studies Committee at the School of Law. She has conducted gender sensitization programs in corporates and educational institutions. She has presented at seminars, conferences, and panel discussions on topics such as criminal law, gender, LGBTQ rights, and child rights. Her work also includes research on intersectional feminism and transformative constitutionalism. At the School of Law, CHRIST, she encourages students to adopt a critical gendered lens when analyzing domestic and international laws. She continues to inspire the next generation of legal professionals.
